Sara Knabe, VP of A&R at BBR Music Group, was kind enough to carve out some time to sit down and chat with me.

I met Sara through pitching her songs for her artists at BBR Music Group. Her story and success at such a young age continues to amaze. She keeps trailblazing with passion, signing new artists, and assisting them in whatever way she can.

In this episode, we walk through her path from college to her very first jobs in the industry. Toted as a “true song” person by many of her colleagues, Sara has an ear and eye for success.

She first started in music publishing then gradually became more involved with A&R until fully transitioning over. Now her roster includes some of country music’s biggest names: Jason Aldean, Chase Rice, Dustin Lynch, Lindsay Ell and so many more.

She finds a way to balance personal life and the entertainment industry in her own way and casually jokes she’s learned everything from the movie, Pure Country.

Her wisdom is beyond her years and she couldn’t stress enough about listening to your gut, no matter what you do.
